The USC chapter was founded in Spring 2011. IRAP-USC currently has 14 students and 7 supervising attorneys working on cases, in addition to 10 student board members running the organization. Over 40 USC students have expressed an interest in working with IRAP, and the USC chapter hopes to involve these students in additional cases and policy work. IRAP-USC is working with the LA offices of O’Melveny & Myers and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, and is in the process of building relationships with several other local law firms. Professor Hannah Garry, the Director of USC’s International Human Rights Clinic, serves as the chapter’s faculty advisor.
