Hannah Walsh

Hannah Walsh (she/her/hers) is a Senior Staff Attorney on IRAP’s Global Pro Bono team. In this role, she mentors pro bono firms and students on projects and casework and adds direct representation capacity to IRAP’s legal priorities.

Prior to joining IRAP, Hannah spent over three years at The Bronx Defenders working on the immigration practice’s New York Immigrant Family Unity Project (NYIFUP) team. There, she provided holistic defense to people in immigration detention for the duration of their removal proceedings. During her studies at CUNY Law, she participated in the Immigrant and Noncitizen Rights Clinic and the CLEAR project, where she supported people affected by the government’s national security policies and law enforcement surveillance.

Hannah received a J.D. from the CUNY School of Law. She also holds a B.A. in Spanish from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

She is licensed to practice in New York State.
