Did you watch the “Last Week Tonight” segment on why the United States is resettling fewer refugees under Biden than under Trump? Sadly, it’s true. The Biden Administration promised to rebuild the refugee program this year by immediately rolling back Trump-era assaults on the refugee program and increasing the refugee admissions goal. But that hasn’t happened yet.
Each day that passes without a signed executive action from President Biden is another day that vulnerable refugees are banned from the United States and left waiting in precarious situations to be resettled. That’s why we need you to urge President Biden to immediately increase the refugee admissions goal for this fiscal year TODAY.
