AISH SHUKLA JOINS IRAP AS CTO

Today, the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) welcomed Aish Shukla as the organization’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As CTO, Aish will partner with senior leadership to design and implement a technology vision for IRAP, including the organization’s technology infrastructure, security, and digital experience.

“As IRAP seeks to reach and empower more people, building our technology capacity is more important than ever,” said IRAP Chief Executive Officer Becca Heller. “Aish Shukla’s wealth of knowledge and experience will help IRAP leverage technology to meaningfully support refugees and displaced people worldwide at scale.”

Aish brings to IRAP more than two decades in the software industry leading product management, engineering, IT, and operations at companies like Microsoft, Oracle, and most recently, Salesforce. There, he ran technology and operations for Salesforce’s global brand, inspiring, educating millions of professionals across the globe through digital channels and in-person events.

“This is my opportunity to bring everything I’ve learned about leadership, technology, trust, and scale at some of the most respected companies and apply it to helping people find long term safety—to be able to pay forward the safety and security I am now lucky to have,” said Aish Shukla. “For this, I’m thrilled and grateful.”

The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) develops and enforces a set of legal and human rights for refugees and displaced persons. Mobilizing direct legal aid, litigation, and systemic advocacy, IRAP serves the world’s most persecuted individuals and empowers the next generation of human rights leaders.
