On Sunday CNN’s Michael Holmes interviewed Captain Matt Zeller, co-founder of No One Left Behind, about the failings of the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program in Iraq and Afghanistan. The interview identifies the key problems of the SIV program, which has left thousands of America’s allies in the Middle East stranded and vulnerable. “Congress has dropped the ball,” Zeller said of the SIV program, “…and more importantly, the American people haven’t demanded it of their members of Congress… That’s ultimately what it’s going to take to fix this.” Zeller recognized IRAP as one of only three organizations working to reform the SIV system.
