IRAP Explainer on Initial Trump Actions Attacking Parole and Parolees

IRAP has written an explainer providing an in-depth legal overview and analysis of the Trump administration’s recent executive actions relating to parole. These actions form a concerted effort to terminate parole programs and parole status, as well as to subject parolees to expedited removal. This explainer covers parole, group-base parole, each recent executive action, and what may happen to various categories of people paroled into the United States.
