IRAP in Al Jazeera: Jordan’s Sudanese Refugees: ‘We are tired’

The plight of Sudanese refugees in Jordan rarely makes the news, but this Al Jazeera article highlights their living situation, which is marked by racial discrimination, fear of deportation, and lack of access to the labor market.

IRAP’s Policy Director Betsy Fisher told Al Jazeera that “it’s definitely high-time for further discussion about this group and what we as an international community will do to give them a long-term solution.” According to her, allowing more resettlement spots for the most vulnerable Sudanese refugees would mean a great improvement.
