IRAP Law Student & Supervising Attorney Publish Op-Ed in Huffington Post

This week, an IRAP student from American University’s Washington College of Law, along with his supervising attorney, published an op-ed in the Huffington Post reflecting on the trends they’ve seen in their IRAP casework. In particular, they critique how the US government evaluates employment history in the course of the Special Immigrant Visa application process. The label “job abandonment” is employed too liberally within the SIV process, barring many deserving applicants from finding protection in the United States.
