Today, IRAP joined several other leading refugee organizations from Refugee Council USA (RCUSA) as an expert participant in a Twitter chat hosted by the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The chat lasted an hour and focused on core issues surrounding the refugee crisis, the plight of refugees from Syria, and resettlement in the United States. Participants tweeted using #RCUSAChat.
All in all, the chat was a huge success, reaching up to 500,000 people, generating 703 tweets, and drawing in 134 individual contributors. You can catch up on what was discussed by viewing the conversation on the IRC’s website here.
This is the second Twitter chat IRAP has joined this year, and we hope to embark on more chats in the future with our partners from RCUSA. Follow IRAP on Twitter @RefugeeAssist and stay tuned to join the next conversation!
