IRAP Practice Advisory on the December 31, 2025 Deadline to File New Afghan SIV Applications for Chief of Mission Approval

The deadline to file a new Afghan SIV application for Chief of Mission (COM) approval is December 31, 2025. IRAP urges Congress to act now to extend the deadline and provide more visas to SIV applicants, and IRAP also shares the practice advisory below for legal practitioners representing Afghan SIV applicants to prepare for the upcoming deadline.
