Legal Practitioner Resources on Humanitarian Parole and Other U.S. Pathways for Afghans

IRAP shares a small collection of resources for legal practitioners assisting Afghans with certain U.S. immigration pathways. The collection includes:

  • A training and templates on filing humanitarian parole applications and expedite requests for certain Afghan Special Immigrant Visa applicants
  • A flow chart of different entry and adjustment options for Afghans, developed with Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP and Immigrant-ARC.
  • Charts of requirements for different types of U.S. visas, including S, V, U, T, H1B, K, and F visa requirements, developed with the Harvard Law School IRAP chapter
  • Country of Origin Information reports (COI Reports) and Visa and Refugee Information Reports, developed with four law firms – Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP, and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and also hosted here.
