Refugee family reunification delay litigation

IRAP has represented, and continues to represent, a number of clients who entered the United States as refugees in securing faster family reunification. These clients have the right to family reunification in the United States under the Refugee Act through the follow-to-join (I-730) process, but because of systemic delays, they remain indefinitely separated from their loved ones. This page includes links to representative complaints and client stories.

IRAP is also working on placing long-delayed family reunification cases with pro bono law firms that can litigate the cases in U.S. courts under guidance from IRAP litigation attorneys.
