Miriam Aced
Miriam Aced is IRAP’s Senior Director for Global Operations. In dual role, she works to ensure smooth operations and alignment of organizational strategies across country offices.
With experience in both the NGO sector and academia, Miriam has focused on advocating for systemic change. Her NGO work has included reframing how governments and civil society in Europe approach combatting discrimination and promoting an intersectional understanding of inequality. She has also led initiatives to improve access to education and employment for marginalized youth. Her academic work includes extensive research on organizational structures within the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) as well as teaching graduate school students in subjects relating to international refugee law, Palestine and Israel and Diversity and Inclusion in organizations. She has published on topics related to Palestinian refugees, urban citizenship, statelessness, voting rights and the intersection of racism and sexism.
Miriam holds an LL.M. in International Law with International Relations from the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies and an M.A. in International Business with French from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. She speaks German, French and English.
