Investing in Staff and Team Culture

Professional Development

We support staff’s professional development and career growth through professional development funding for workshops, trainings, language classes, and more.

Staff Retreat & Bonding

We invest in staff bonding and building a team. We have staff retreats in person to create a bond and work on strategic planning for the next year. Each of our offices also has a monthly team bonding budget.

Employee Benefits & Perks

Medical Health & Wellness

New full-time hires can enroll in benefits as early as their first day of employment. IRAP offers four medical plans and three dental insurance plans for employees to choose from, in addition to one paid vision plan at no premium cost to employees. These benefits also apply to our staff members’ eligible family members (generally spouses, children, and other family members).

Retirement

U.S. full-time tax-paying staff are eligible to participate in our 401k plan, including an employer match. We contribute to the government-administered retirement plan for eligible employees in Lebanon and Jordan, and we provide company retirement plans for our employees in Europe.

Parental Leave

We have a generous parental leave program that allows parents to take 27 weeks of leave after a birth or adoption. In addition, we provide support for staff who participate in work-related travel by providing a childcare stipend. In Germany, the statutory parental leave regulations apply.

Paid Time Off

Full-time employees in the U.S., Jordan, and Lebanon accrue 20 days off, and 30 vacation days in Europe, in addition to a year-end break from December 24 to January 2, 10 personal days, sick time, and a generous holiday allowance that varies from 18 to 20 days off per year (depending on which office you work in).

Sabbatical

Many staff at IRAP are eligible for our sabbatical program for up to four months.

Wellness

Twice a year, we provide a wellness reimbursement for staff to spend on personal self-care – whether that means a gym membership, a massage, a meditation class, or buying yourself running shoes.

Our benefits and policies vary depending on local laws and requirements, and are not the same across offices. Other benefits may include:

Paid leave related to:

  • Blood, bone marrow, and organ donation
  • Bereavement
  • Family military leave
  • Religious observance
  • Jury duty

Stipends for:

  • Vision reimbursement
  • Mental health

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access

IRAP is actively committed to being an equitable and anti-racist organization. We believe that diversity is critical to fostering a strong workplace and serving our clients well. We strongly encourage applications from people with lived experiences in the communities that we serve, members of other marginalized communities, and individuals whose identities are underrepresented in the legal profession.

Salary Scale

IRAP has salary scales that were created to promote transparency in compensation at IRAP. IRAP’s compensation goals are:

(1) to pay competitively in order to hire and retain staff who are talented and best able to enact our mission
(2) to treat staff equally without regard to nationality
(3) to pay wages that are financially sustainable for the organization.

Your compensation will be determined based on your position on the salary scale.
