IRAP STATEMENT IN RESPONSE TO 9TH CIRCUIT COURT RULING
(New York, NY) – In response to today’s Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling, which upholds the blocking of the Trump administration’s travel and refugee ban, the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) at the Urban Justice Center issued the following statement:
“We are very pleased with the ruling the Ninth Circuit Court issued today, reaffirming once again the decision to block the unconstitutional Muslim ban. What’s more, thanks to this ruling, thousands of refugees in life-threatening situations will be able to breathe a sigh of relief. How many more judges will it take for the Trump administration to acknowledge that the policy is harmful and serves no national security purpose? It’s time to rescind the order once and for all.”
