Laura Zhang
Laura Zhang is a Global Pro Bono Coordinator on the Global Pro Bono Team at IRAP.
Prior to joining IRAP, Laura worked as a paralegal at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) providing legal support to detained unaccompanied minors in Office of Refugee Resettlement custody in New York City. She has also worked with Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project, New Sanctuary Coalition, and the Queer Detainee Empowerment Project in providing socio-legal services to migrants and refugees.
Laura holds an MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from the University of Oxford. She earned her B.A. in Human Rights from New York University. Laura speaks Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
