The Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP) and the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) are excited to announce our partnership to bring systemic litigation on behalf of asylum seekers and other forced migrants. We will bring cases on behalf of individuals who have suffered abuses in detention, were separated from their families by the U.S. government, and whose due process rights have been systematically violated. We are grateful to Justice Catalyst for making this partnership possible.
This partnership will harness the resources, knowledge, and expertise of both organizations. ASAP’s mission is to provide community support and emergency legal aid to asylum-seeking families throughout the United States. IRAP advocates for refugees and other displaced people through legal representation, systemic advocacy, and litigation. Through this partnership, IRAP and ASAP will be working closely to identify and bring new litigation cases, including cases under the Federal Tort Claims Act.
